Description
Importance: Boron is useful for carbohydrate metabolism. Also useful for sugar transport and sugar content in beads. Boron is useful for fruit set as well as pollen tube growth.
Disadvantages:
1) Boron deficiency is observed in neutral and alkaline soils.
2) Boron uptake by roots is not good when plants are water deficient. Boron deficiency is mainly felt in crops grown in areas with high rainfall or where boron-free water is used.
Symptoms:
1) Boron deficiency symptoms appear before flowering.
2) Strains become black lumpy and dry.
3) The bunches in the flower dry up.
4) During the peak growth period of the shoot, the new seeds swell in one or more places and the swollen lower part dies.
5) The leaf stalks become shriveled and thick. 6) Sometimes spots appear on the stems.
7) Leaf shape does not remain as usual.
8) Boron deficiency also adversely affects seed and bunch growth. 9) Fruit yield is reduced.
How to use: Spray 1 to 1.5 grams per liter of water.
Advantages: 1) Crop health is improved and product quality increases. 2) No wilting of flowers and fruits in crops. 3) Maintains the proper amount of sugar in fruits. 4) Crops produce the expected quality by keeping the internal activities of the crops in order. 5) Helps in fruit ripening. 6) Limitation on the formation of carbohydrates.
