Description

  1. Magnesium is an essential secondary nutrient for plants.
  2. Magnesium is called the “powerhouse” of soil.
  3. Magnesium is an important part of green matter (chlorophyll).
  4. Magnesium works to activate different hormones produced in the process of photosynthesis.
  5. Apart from this, magnesium acts to stabilize the ribosomal component.
  6. Magnesium gives green color to the leaves.

Deficiency: Black loam soil is high in magnesium. Magnesium deficiency occurs only in low quality soils, sandy soils.

Symptoms:

  1. Once photosynthesis stops due to magnesium deficiency, chlorophyll (green matter) is not produced, and grape bunches do not grow.
  2. In case of magnesium deficiency, loss of green matter is first observed in older leaves. Leaf veins, edges turn yellow.
  3. Leaves appear purple, red, and brown in color. Eventually the leaf and the tree die.
  4. Magnesium deficiency is found in soils where the amount of silt is high.

Method of application: Magnesium fertilizers can be given along with organic fertilizers and a dung mixture. You can also spray magnesium sulfate at the rate of 5 grams per liter on the leaves, by doing this, magnesium deficiency can be eliminated.

Advantages:

  1. Magnesium plays an important role in plant growth and good health.
  2. Magnesium transports starchy foods.
  3. Balances nutrient absorption capacity.
  4. Iron is useful for growth.
  5. Fixes nitrogen.
  6. Due to magnesium, the process of photosynthesis is carried out smoothly and the growth of plants is good.
